Rum Distilleries Tour (Full day)

Clarke’s Court is the island’s largest distillery and has been operational since 1936. Here you would learn of the distilling, aging, blending and bottling process of rum. Towards the end of the tour you will be invited to sample their award-winning rums at the sample bar.
This tour also includes bonus stops at the scenic Fort Frederick, Annandale Falls, Grand Etang National Park & Lake where you’ll get to experience the peace of the water's edge and perhaps interact with the friendly Mona monkeys and feed the fish in the lake.
The next stop is River Antione rum distillery at the North East axis of the Island... Built in 1785, it’s the oldest functioning water-propelled distillery not only in Grenada, but throughout the Caribbean. Be ready to taste a variety of well blended products.

We'll wrap up the tour with a stop at Lake Antione (Grenada's second crater lake) before heading back to St. George.

First Stop Clarke's Court Rum Distillery
Clarke’s Court Rum Distillery, Grenada Distillers Limited, it is a "must see" for all visitors, they are the island’s best-known and largest distillery and one of the most interesting historical sites. The factory has been in operation since 1937, and is situated in the southern part of the island, in the Parish of St George. You will learn about all the different processes and stages of making their fine rum. You would learn of the distilling process from sugar cane, syrup and molasses, to rum, and also the aging, blending and bottling processes. You would also get the opportunity to discover old steam engines, some dating as far back as 1886. The tour of the factory lasts about 15-20 minutes, after which you are invited to sample their award-winning rums at the sample bar. You would be given recipes on different ways you can mix our rum and truly appreciate the taste of their fine products.
Second Stop Fort Frederick
Perched atop Richmond Hill at the center of St. George's, Fort Frederick is a bastion type fort, which offers a 360 view of St. George’s. After a walk through its grand arches, you look southward onto the town of St. George's and admire the picturesque Carenage and northward to the rolling mountain ridges covered in lush vegetation and quaint houses. Today, Fort Frederick is an attraction of beautiful vistas and various levels with enchanting perspectives of the capital city of Grenada.
Third Stop Annandale Falls, St. George's Grenada
At Annandale falls you will enjoy the serenity of water cascading over the rocks, simply revel in the beauty and sounds of the falls or you can spend time in the surrounding gardens where tropical flowers and trees flourish.
Fourth Stop Grand Etang Lake, Grand Etang National Park Grenada
As we proceed through the town of St. George’s you’ll be welcomed with some stunning panoramic view of the Island. As we travel through the mountains you’ll begin to have a first hand experience of the Island's Tropical interiors. At Grand Etang Park you’ll get to learn about some of it’s beautiful plants and hospitable animals. You’ll be guided through the beautiful rainforest to the world’s famous Grand Etang crater Lake which is 1,800 feet (550 m) above sea level and one of the two crater lakes on the Island. At this point you’ll have a perfect view of mount Qua Qua, feed the lake fishes and experience the peace of the water’s edge
Fifth Stop River Antoine Estate Rum Distillery, Grenada
Built in 1785, River Antoine rum distillery is the oldest functioning water-propelled distillery not only in Grenada, but throughout the Caribbean. On this tour you’ll be guided through the facility by a production expert. Here you’ll learn more about how this distillery still use traditional methods for production. Be ready to taste a variety of its well blended products. Next we wrap up the tour with a stop at Lake Antoine (Grenada’s second crater lake) before heading back to pickup point (cruise ship terminal or hotel) through the eastern parish of St. David’s.

    What a way to experience the spice isle. The rum tour was worth every time and dime. We visited the clarkes court distillery and the river Antoine distillery. Loved them both as a run lover it was a great opportunity to sample the famous rivers rum
